Installation
Install the QSmap SuiteApp in NetSuite and configure company geocoding preferences.
QSmap is distributed as a NetSuite SuiteApp. Install from the SuiteApp listing / Marketplace entry for QSmap (your team’s trial link may be shared as “Start free trial” on qsmap.net).
Install the SuiteApp
- Sign in to NetSuite with the Administrator role (or a role that can install SuiteApps).
- Open the QSmap SuiteApp listing (from the NetSuite SuiteApp Marketplace or the listing URL provided by EhCanadian / your trial CTA).
- Install the SuiteApp and wait until NetSuite reports the installation as complete.
- Confirm users can open QSmap from the navigation your organization uses (often a QSmap menu or dashboard link).
After installation, geocoding typically begins on the following overnight batch so entities can appear on the map. Trial accounts often include a 30-day trial with geocoding capped (commonly 1,000 entities). Contact support@qsmap.net if you need a trial extension.
Company preferences
Administrators should review Setup → Company → General Preferences → Custom Preferences (General) for QSmap settings such as:
| Preference | Purpose |
|---|---|
| QSmap User to Notify | Receives geocoding result emails when records are processed or errors occur (not emailed when there is nothing to do) |
| Default Company Coordinates | Override the map home coordinates derived from the company address |
| QSmap Customer Geocode Address | Which customer address to geocode (Billing, Shipping, Residential/Address) |
| QSmap Non-Customer Geocode Address | Which address to use for non-customer entities |
Production geocoding runs in daily batches. Allow enough time for large datasets to finish.
Open QSmap from a customer record
Where deployed, a View in QSmap action on Customer (and similar) records opens the map focused on that entity. If QSmap is already open in another browser tab, that tab may come to the front instead of opening duplicates.
